Electromechanical system integration and enclosures
Electronic products need mechanical protection, reliable internal cabling and planned heat dissipation. This scope focuses on the enclosure, harnesses and final assembly around the customer-specified electronic design.
Before release, the program scope should define which materials are supplied by the customer or sourced for the order, the approved assembly instructions, labeling rules and the test procedures and acceptance criteria to be used.
- Enclosures and chassis to approved drawings
- Wire harness processing and termination
- Box build and verification to agreed instructions
Scope of integration capabilities
Six practical work packages; availability and verification methods are confirmed for each program.
-
Custom enclosures and chassis
Sheet metal cabinets, aluminum chassis and molded housings with specified cutouts, inserts, finishes and markings.

Cable processing and harnesses
Cutting, stripping, crimping and termination to approved harness drawings and connector lists; pull and continuity checks can be scoped.
-
Electromechanical box build
Mounting customer-specified boards, power units, fans, switches and wiring inside the enclosure to approved work instructions.
Learn more Labeling and serialization
Serial barcodes, rating labels and artwork applied to customer-approved content and numbering rules.
Testing to your procedure
Continuity, insulation or functional checks can be scoped against supplied methods and pass/fail criteria.
ESD and protective packaging
Antistatic materials, foam protection and cartons selected for the assembly and agreed handling route.
Program scoping and execution
Confirm these four inputs before assembly routing and pricing are finalized.
01. Consignment and supply split
Record which boards and parts are customer-supplied and which may be sourced for the program, including quantities and spares.
02. Engineering documentation
Review released enclosure files, harness schematics, connector pinouts, BOM and assembly work instructions at known revisions.
03. Assembly and test plan
Define build sequence, equipment, acceptance criteria and how inspection or test results will be recorded.
04. Labels and packaging
Agree approved label artwork, serial rules, ESD protection and packing requirements before release.
Typical products
- Control cabinets and panels
- Instrument housings
- Power distribution enclosures
- Sensor and equipment mounts
- Cable assemblies and looms
- Display and kiosk frames
From scope to release
Five checkpoints can be adapted to the assembly and testing plan.
- 01
Confirm supply split
Identify customer-consigned boards and the components to be sourced under the agreed proposal.
- 02
Review engineering files
Lock the applicable enclosure drawings, wiring data, connector pinouts and work instructions.
- 03
Build and assemble
Prepare harnesses and mechanical parts, then integrate the specified assemblies to the released instructions.
- 04
Test and verify
Perform the agreed continuity, insulation or functional checks and record results as specified.
- 05
Pack and release
Apply approved labels and protective packaging; provide conformance documents when included in the order.

PDF drawings plus STEP or DXF files, with finish, insert and marking notes.
- XLSX
Bill of materials
Parts list with quantities, approved manufacturers and who supplies each item.
- PDF
Wiring diagrams
Harness drawings with wire gauges, colors, lengths, connectors and terminals.
- REPORT
Test procedure
Test steps, equipment and pass criteria for each check you require.
Electronics assembly questions
Do you offer PCB electrical design?
This scope covers the enclosure, harness and final integration around an existing board design. Any electrical design request would need a separate review.
Are PCB assemblies customer-supplied or sourced?
Either route may be evaluated. The quotation should identify the approved board, who supplies it and the receiving checks.
How are functional tests performed?
Provide the test procedure, equipment requirements and pass/fail criteria. The available test route and record format are confirmed for the program.
Can serial numbers and rating labels be applied?
Approved artwork and numbering rules can be included in the assembly scope. Any regulatory rating claim remains the customer’s responsibility to substantiate.
